Sudan is experiencing a severe conflict that has led to widespread violations of human rights against its civilian population. The prolonged conflict has resulted in substantial suffering, with a multitude of innocent lives lost, over 10 million people displaced, and a vast range of abuses recorded. In the midst of this chaotic situation, it is crucial to magnify the voices of the Sudanese populace, especially those who are directly impacted by the conflict, and to attract global attention to the continuous abuses taking place. The Sudan Human Rights Hub (SHRH) has been focusing all of its efforts on archiving these acts of extreme cruelty into the SHRH Collaborative Archive Platform. Through the collection of data, testimony, and evidence, SHRH has established a crucial archive to record the devastation that the Sudanese civilians have been going through.

The main goal of this event is to amplify the voices of Sudanese citizens who are affected by the current conflict, underscore the recorded infringements on human rights, and exhibit the efforts undertaken by SHRH, GMU and the others in the Conflict Observatory program. The objective of the event is to:

1. Emphasize the critical need of action by informing the world about the continuous human rights abuses in Sudan.

2. Give the international players a stage to interact personally with select Sudanese activists, human rights lawyers, academics and artists for more general conversations than just numbers.

3. Highlight SARAH's work here. Share the results and efforts of SARAH's archive to underline the need of data-driven advocacy in combating violations of human rights.

4. Involve others: Encourage public, intellectual, human rights, policy, and legislative debate on sensible means of helping Sudanese people and assigning responsibility for offenders.

5. Create opportunities for trust and knowledge-based networking to link and spread the message.
