Field education is essential for building trust, fostering inclusivity, and promoting teamwork and cooperation in the uncertain environment of complex communities. CRDC has, for the past 20 years, field-tested peacebuilding interventions that honor the great diversity of stakeholders in the lived environments of onsite visits globally. This session asks what is learned from onsite engagement of a radically inclusive nature in conflict zones. How is culture handled? How are diverse local communities handled? How do students self-reflect and perform as individuals and as a team under pressure, and what does it teach about theories of practice to be applied to conflicts globally? In-depth on-the-ground learning is the path to students' training, but what is being learned?
